Best Buy is the main US store for NVIDIA Founders Edition cards, and its restocks follow a loose pattern: weekday mornings, short windows, gone in minutes. Here is how to give yourself a real chance.

When restocks happen

Best Buy GPU restocks have historically landed on Tuesday and Friday mornings, between 9 and 11 AM Eastern, and stay open for about 3 to 5 minutes (StockMaid). Treat that as a tendency, not a schedule. Best Buy does not announce drops in advance.

Before the drop

  • Sign in to your Best Buy account on the device you will use, and keep it signed in.
  • Save your shipping address and a payment card so checkout is a couple of taps.
  • Decide between shipping and store pickup ahead of time. Pickup stock is per store, so a nearby store can have a card when shipping does not.
  • Know your price limit. In a rush it is easy to grab a partner card priced far above MSRP.

During the drop

  • Add to cart as soon as the button is live and go straight to checkout. A card in your cart is not reserved.
  • If you see a queue or a "please wait" button, do not refresh. Refreshing can lose your place.
  • If checkout fails, check your order history before trying again so you do not buy twice.

Open box is the quiet second chance

Returned cards come back as open-box listings, graded Excellent, Good or Fair. They show up without warning and often cost less than new. Read our guide to Best Buy open-box conditions before you buy one.

Watch out for

"Notify me" emails from stores are sent in batches on the store's schedule, not the moment stock appears, so by the time one arrives the card is usually gone (PageCrawl). A real-time alert is what makes the difference, and that is what SnipeDrops is built to send.
